Game Night: ‘Bows defeat NAU

The Rainbow Warriors defeated Northern Arizona, 85-68, to improve to 3-1.

Of note:

> After missing his first five 3-pointers, Eddie Stansberry hit three in the first half, two more after the intermission and finished with 19 points.

> The ‘Bows set the tone early with aggressive inside play. They hit their first 10 shots from the paint and 14 of their first 16 near the rim.

> The Lumberjacks tried to double the ball screens, freeing the post. Drew Buggs had eight of the’Bows’ 20 assists.

> Zigmars Raimo is continuing to thrive on post rolls. He scored 17 points, with his eight field goals with a few feet from the hoop. His only Kryptonite? He was one of five from the free-throw line.

> The Lumberjacks were playing their fourth game in eight days, and their their road game in six days.

The ‘Bows close out the half with a 20-7 run to take a 41-25 lead into the intermission.

The Lumberjacks hit only one field goal in the final 8:57.
