Gym I gleamed and the Hawaii volleyball team glowed on Day 1 of 2019 full practices Saturday.

It probably won’t all be quite that smooth leading into the Aug. 30 season opener against San Diego, but it seemed to be an encouraging start for a program that went one-and-done in the NCAA tournament the last two years.
