Tuesday checkin: travel roster

As expected, travel roster does not include Burns, Okino and Gong.
Players excited about first road trip. 9 of the 14 are from California so they are excited about seeing family
Greeley’s situation is a bit different. She is used to having her brothers at the UCR matches. The twins are on the Warrior football team and they will be in Honolulu this week for CSU at Aloha Stadium.

    Thanks for the info on Burns in the previous post- on her injury. I thought she played well when she did get in this season, against BYU and Baylor. Small sample, but her hitting percentage is better than the other two. Blocking not yet up there but may depend on the situation.

    Cindy on your previous thread you mentioned 2018 recruit Trinity Castaneda but you didn’t mention Kamalei Krug (Anuenue HS) who I also believe is a 2018 UH indoor commit….

    If i’m not mistaken, Kamalei got injured while up in the mainland playing a tournament, heard she is out for this girls season unfortunately, with a torn something. I THINK thats the case, hopefully she can rehab her infer and get back on track. She’s a beast.

    The wear and tear on some of the volleyball players is a lot. LIke for Kalei; Nikki had some elbow problems. Hartong had to have surgery on her shoulder after playing at UH. How does all the jumping affect some of the players ?
