Great news CP lost to UCSB. Now Wahine just has to take care of business.

Great to hear UCSB beating Cal Poly! Na Wahine only a game out of first! Big game this Sunday as UC Davis is tied with Na Wahine in the standings. San Diego beating BYU in Provo must have helped Na Wahine in the RPI.

Riley has not played in last 2 games(no stats)! Is she injured?

#3, don’t believe riley is injured. she was the odd man out when they chose to have Norene play hitter when she is not setting and with ross doing well the last couple of games. also Westerberg was switched to the right side. but if any of the above alters, riley would be in the mix again, she can play.

It’s great that the door is open for the Wahine to be conference co-champions and the BWC might have three tournament teams. But I was really looking forward to seeing epic matchups of Ruddins v. Van Winden v. Rasmussen. I wonder if we’ll see any of these teams go full strength against each other this season.

Sorry anyone have the start time for todays match? Usually earlier then normal on Sundays, I’m guessing 5 or 4 pm start time? Thinking about going, just wanna make sure the start time.

Wish only limited action from BVS as hamstring injuries are typically recurrent. Riley (overall, good player) needs to lower her height with knees to make high roll-shot for those relative lower sets (or in transition plays) rather than sending usual meek push over freebies. Like to see more combination-attacks with Tiffany who camouflages nicely, running power attackers (#20/Riley/Akana). Meanwhile, blockers need to improve defending against opponents’ combination attacks. Full-time back row diggers stance should not plant firmly on floor which reduces defending range…somewhat similar to receivers getting ready for Serena’s powerful tennis services). Expect A+ game from Davis, a good team.

I’ve noticed that Hanna has had her left hand and wrist taped up recently. Anyone know why?

So does Amber, she has have some kind of wrap on her left hand.

Looks like Utah-Stanford going five…Utah up 2-1, trailing early in the fourth…another upset?

  12. jmy October 20, 2019 2:28 pm

Stanford held on, 17-15 in the fifth…

    5 p.m. start time.
if you ever have a question the schedule is at
Hawaiiathletics.com go to women’s volleyball page
As mention, Wagoner the odd person out when the put Iosia in at hitter.
Have a feeling Van Winden done with indoor. We may see her on the beach.
Think all the taping is precautionary. Some tweaks in practice.
