Oddball comment: Great to see the new tradition (?) of the coaches and staff’s cuddle huddle after each game, so far! Displays same unity as the players. This season is different, for the better, in many ways!!
1. Yeah, agreed. Didn’t see that last year or the year previous. It appears to be a change where the “team first” mantra is spilling over from the team to the coaching staff insofar as displaying it in public! GO BOWS!
Maybe they should stick around after the game and sing the Alma Mater too. I believe the MVB team does it, MBB too, as well as the football team. That would be sweet school pride!!
CL, you thinks Coach RAM would got for that? I think the crowd would join in and sing it too!!

The nice and refreshing thing that I noticed about this team is definitely their resilience & mental toughness. As I watched UCLA climb back in Set 2, down 13-22 to make it 22-23, in the past we would see glazed over looks on some of our Wahine’s faces, we’d go on to win the set and lose by “reverse sweep” (which I hate the term). However, it was such a relief that THIS Wahine team came back in Set 3 and finished business!
These athletes and especially this freshman class has no visible confidence issues that may have plagued our program in the past. How excited are we all about this stellar freshman class?!

AVCA Poll, 16 Sep 2019: Hawaii now #13!
Best tournament this week: #5 Baylor, #13 Hawai’i, #17 Missouri. All undefeated. But at least 2 of 3 won’t be after the tourney. Stream UH’s match with Baylor on ESPN+ at 9am HST/12pm PDT this coming Sunday. We will see how good this team is on the road.
Big jump! Surprised that Stanford is at #2…the Cardinal plays at Nebraska this Wed…with a win they’ll probably reclaim #1…
