UH 6-1 run and closes to 21-18 on an Igiede kill in the middle. Marquette challenges a pancake dig by Byrd earlier in the rally. Call stands. Vanden Berg gets a tip to fall to end the UH run. Marquette rallies to tie it at 5-5. UH maintains a lead until Marquette goes on a 4-0 run to take a 12-10 lead, including a Taylor Wolf ace.
