Tuinei is a stand-up guy

Tumua Tuinei

I’ve only personally met six people whom I thought were hysterically funny: Augie T, Andy Bumatai, Nicky Clark, Kanoa Leahey, Lei Colburn and my son.

So when Augie says UH safety Tumua Tuinei is funny, well, that’s a good enough recommendation.

Tuinei’s stand-up routine is the opening act for “A Summer 4 All” show on July 7 at the Hawaii Theatre.

Here’s the Star-Advertiser story: Tumua Tuinei

Tickets may be purchased at: Hawaii Theatre

There also are discount tickets for public-housing residents.

And, yes, his father is Tom Tuinei.

TE Jarrell Anderson commits to Hawaii

darn — 2017 season has not started and 2018 is getting very interesting!!!

another winning season in 2017 and a bowl game win may bring more talented players to UH — be good to have more “local” players stay home, but if they like go, go!!!

    2017 prediction — no worse than 9 and 4

Mrs A-House still marvels about my telling her in January 2007 to notify her relatives that our 2008 New Years party will be a week late because UH is going to a BCS bowl game — jus’ a feeling!

why can’t i do the same at the crap table or mega bucks?????

Darrien Sampson and Anthony Stell commits to Hawaii

  5. PONO June 21, 2017 11:11 am

Wow a lot of action in recruiting. Really exciting to see so many guys committing early.

    Morning Tsaikos!
Local boys gotta make up their minds if they want to be a part of this next recruiting class. Slots are filling up.
    Welcome back, Jeezy.

  7. DaveLetterMan June 21, 2017 11:33 am

Tweets are hinting of a few more commits coming in.

  8. Da Punchbowl Kid June 21, 2017 11:33 am

I’m looking at Tuinei and thinking there’s nothing funny about him if I’m a reciever and he’s coming to knock me into next week the second I catch the ball. Good luck to him on his show!

Thanks for the updates Jeezy! Keep them and the recruits coming!

  9. Unko Mana June 21, 2017 11:43 am

UH just landed 3 3* recruits from Washington

If you are a committed fan start gettin ready now! If you are a casual fan you won’t want to admit it-not a fan, you will be lonely come August, everybody gonna be talkin Warrior FB! Very excited about a great year! One glaring weakness is OT. Something tells me that either some roster players will fill the void maybe newcomers. Right now Allen and Norman, I’m fine with that but you need 5 maybe 6 of those guys. Graves Hensley and who else? Anyway get ready for the resurgence!!!!

yea, baybie! ‘things are looking up’

rollin rollin rollin, keep ‘um rollin, Rawhide – giddiup Lone Ranger!

Tonto and Lone Ranger sleeping in a tent – Tonto wakes the ranger and asks him to look up — Range says beautiful night sky — no, Tonoto says, someone stole our tent!

#4 It appears things are changing with those two

  15. Shoyu June 21, 2017 2:38 pm

Both Sampson and Snell pulled down their commitment tweets. Anderson though is still looking solid.

  16. Thomas ip6 June 21, 2017 3:07 pm

Lone Ranger and Tonto surrounded by 100 mad indians. Lone Ranger looks at his trusted sidekick and says “looks like we’re in deep trouble.” Tonto replies “what you mean us haole!”

  17. Boya_jr June 21, 2017 3:55 pm

    Go Warriors!

  18. kahuna June 21, 2017 4:27 pm

Hahahaha…6 verbals from only 2 schools. At this pace, we only have to recruit a handful of schools to reach our max of 25.

3 from Kahuku, three from Punahou and 3 from Mililani…then we pau the local recruits and go find rest from the mainland.

  19. AllG June 21, 2017 5:40 pm

Wow if those commits are all legit that would be 6 recruits from 2 different High Schools. Gotta be some sort of Hawaii record. How dose the saying “go kill 6 birds with 2 stones” lol

  20. Egan June 21, 2017 9:07 pm

Nicky Clark? That’s a blast from the past. And you’re right, he was a funny guy.

  21. mileHIwarrior June 22, 2017 3:43 am

Recruits look good but still a long way to go until December. Probably the reason why the guys from the NW tweeted that their recruiting is still open.

  22. Whitey June 22, 2017 6:53 am

Col and Thomas, those are classics. Am laughing and need to sit down.

  23. A-House June 22, 2017 10:29 am

    whitey:

    how U?

i probably have a better long term memory than short term which is bad cause some say early stages of dementia!! me too young for dat!!!

looking forward to the Army game next year — this time, Masaboy will be with us and only reason for my going on this trip — he missed out first time cause he was still in Vegas.

planning to fish Alaska this year? looking at Anchor Point and Shelter Lodge 2017 photo albums — appears we can keep larger size halibut — seen one over 43 1/2″ — last year we missed out cause mine and Masaboy’s were 40 1/2′ and 42″ respectively — had to release — some huge yellow eye and short raker rock fish coming up early
