Ursua followed linebacker Jahlani Tavai, who was snagged in the second round by the Detroit Lions on Day 1.
#HawaiiFB with two players selected in the same draft after going the past seven years with only two draft picks total. John Ursua is the 12th Hawaii WR ever picked in the draft and just the fifth since 1993. He is the second 236th overall pick from UH. The other? Nate Ilaoa.

Ursua, a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award and finalist for Polynesian Player of the Year in 2018, was the nation’s leader in receiving touchdowns with 16. He was fifth in receiving yards at 1,343. He went over 100 yards in seven of 13 games played for the 8-5 Rainbow Warriors.
Hard work, perseverance and desire. Stay healthy and geevum John!
