Auditions are set

UH’s pro day is set for March 20 on the Azusa Pacific University and Citrus College campuses.

The meetings, interviews, measurements and weightlifting disciplines will be at the APU facilities. The sprints and field drills will be at neighboring Citrus Stadium, where APU plays its home games.

Last year, five former Warriors — kicker/punter Rigo Sanchez, offensive lineman Leo Koloamatangi, defensive back Dejaun Butler, linebacker Jerrol Garcia-Williams and wideout Marcus Kemp — parlayed pro-day performances into NFL opportunities. Sanchez was the Colts’ punter. Kemp was on the Chiefs’ playoff roster.

Good luck to all the Warriors who will be at Pro Day!!
Sanchez was amazing to beat out the veteran punter.

On last nights post I forgot to include Taala. I watched so many Hudl videos and his was the hardest to judge abilities on (mostly because of the field conditions there). One thing is for sure, he is powerful. He’s got a deliberate medium motor and a big moldable body (and legs). I think (I hope) he can grow into a 325 pound (or more) 0 technique NT. Until then we’ll see how this staff uses him. Maybe he’s the next Sopoaga. We’ll see.

hiho, hiho and off to LOI we go

keep bringing in the players — yes, score one for the “home team” over the Power 5 teams who offered!

perhaps, others will follow w/ a commitment to play before family and friends for every home game

spread the word and excite local fans to support UH — ‘home team’ sounds too much like Blangiardi [sp]

hope the incoming frosh will go all out to prove they are worthy of playing time consideration in 2018
