They're (getting) here

At least some of the new and returning Hawaii hoops players will be in action tonight at the Manoa Park Gym for the College Summer League.

It’s not 100 percent certain which players will and won’t be there Saturday night, but at least some should. Based on the initial league rosters, the Rainbow Warriors who might be watchable tonight are:

6 p.m. game, Wealth Strategy Partners vs. Grantco Pacific: Caleb Dressler
7:30 game, National Fire Protection vs. Central Medical Clinic: Garrett Nevels, Stefan Jovanovic, Quincy Smith, Michael Harper.

The most prominent returnee playing in the league this summer, Isaac Fotu, is having some visa trouble and hasn’t yet left New Zealand, so he obviously won’t be playing tonight. Aaron Valdes hasn’t left California yet, and still other players don’t have a game scheduled until Tuesday.

Some are just getting off the plane. One shouldn’t judge them based on their showings tonight, but it should make for a fun first look. Nevels, at the very least, tweeted that he’ll be in action tonight.

Nevels has a nice game and has instincts on defense. He also looks comfortable at the point.
