2013 Summer League rosters set

Time to draw some new blood in the 2013 Hawaii College Basketball Summer League. Action tips off Saturday at the Manoa Park Gym at 6 p.m. between Clark Hatch Fitness and Solar Universe, with a second game at 7:30 between National Fire Protection Co. and Wealth Strategy Partners.

Rosters for the six-team league were released Thursday. Thirteen of the 16 players on the 2013-14 University of Hawaii roster are sprinkled among five of the teams, so on any given Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday evening you show up in Manoa over the next several weeks, you should get at least a glimpse of something for the coming season. Artie Wilson‘s defending champions, Solar Universe, have the greatest concentration with four UH players.

The breakdown:

Central Medical Clinic: Quincy Smith, Michael Harper. Clark Hatch Fitness: Keith Shamburger, Michael Thomas. Grantco Pacific: Aaron Valdes, Caleb Dressler. National Fire Protection Co: Garrett Nevels, Isaac Fotu, Stefan Jovanovic. Solar Universe: Dyrbe Enos, Niko Filipovich, Negus Webster-Chan, Brandon Spearman.

The three current ‘Bows not playing this year are Christian Standhardinger, Davis Rozitis and Brandon Jawato. All six newcomers are slated to play. However, aside from Enos, don’t expect to see UH players here until they arrive for summer school the first week of July.

Complete rosters are here. Note that they can be subject to change even after this Saturday.

Other notables include former ‘Bows Bill Amis (CMC), Zane Johnson (SU), Geremy Robinson (GP) and Julian Sensley (WSP), Wazzu’s Derrick Low (SU), Chaminade’s DeAndre Haskins (NFP), and Kalaheo High’s Joshua Ko (NFP).

Thanks! The NBA Finals got me wanting more basketball for some reason……
Can’t wait to see the new Bow Warriors and welcome back the returnees.

Thanks Brian. Nothing in the papers about it starting this week. See you there.

I take it Zane is still playing in Caceres, Spain and just needed a change of scenery during the off season. Solar looks stacked with experience. Makes me question Artie’s recruiting methods.

    Mahalo for the updates!
