Norm Chow confirmed that quarterback Kevin Spain and offensive lineman Thomas Olds are no longer on the roster. Both will be allowed to attend classes and remain on scholarship this semester. They are not expected back for the 2012 season. Spain received a medical redshirt for the 2010 season after undergoing shoulder surgery. Facility renovations are supposed to be completed by Aug. 1; football training camp opens Aug. 2. The Warriors fought the good fight before losing San Mateo’s Fehoko Fanaika to LSU. That leaves the Warriors with a few options. They are expected to continue to hold a scholarship for Konawaena’s Mike Andrade, who still needs to complete some procedures before he may be tendered a binding letter.
