Shoji asks "What do we have to do?"

By Cindy Luis on March 21, 2013

This was Ann’s story this morning. Any thoughts? Don’t know what his ‘out of the box’ ideas are other than one that was floated here a while back where UH ‘hosts’ a subregional in Las Vegas. Canceling the Hawaii-Brigham Young football game Dec. 7 at Aloha Stadium might be a deal maker for Rainbow Wahine volleyball. The anger UH coach Dave Shoji directed at the NCAA volleyball selection committee last fall, when his eighth-ranked team was not seeded in the […]

Now about that Wahine mainland tourney …

By Cindy Luis on March 18, 2013

On another thread someone mentioned that the Wahine would be headed to The Invitational at Washington, filling in that week between the last volleyball tournament and the first Big West match. The Seattle tourney is under consideration but likely the Wahine will be in another tournament in the midwest. Not at Nebraska.

Belated thread on UH-Texas Tech

By Cindy Luis on March 17, 2013

Didn’t start one because I wasn’t there but that is my mistake. It deserves it’s own. UH wins 18-25 25-20, 25-18, 25-17. Att: 1747 there were comments on other threads about it, particularly blocking. Lack of or poor. Think you can hardly judge this team on Friday since Hartong didn’t play front row and they were down to two middles Both Vorster (knee) and Kastl (ankle) weren’t 100 percent. Things will be much different in fall. stat-wise UH hit .229 […]

Warriors fall in 5 at CBU & bit of a rewind

By Cindy Luis on March 16, 2013

Below is my web story. another disappointing serving night for Hawaii. radio feed kept going out so it was hard to follow but Set 4 was crucial with 2 yellow cards given to UH. first for delay of game at the start then Sedore got another yellow, his second in 3 matches. Still feel they can make the playoffs but they’re going to have to win out IMHO. UOP and UCSB at home the next two weeks. if they win […]
