She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.
On Bobby’s show Wade mentioned late NLI would be today. They already had setter Jennings Franciskovic. Officially signing are Kupono Fey and Nainoa Frank. Someone else mentioned Dane Keckin as well He is an opposite who plays with Franciskovic at Palisades. Believe that was where Brian Beckwith played junior club.
this is a fundraiser for the Wahine The annual Dave Shoji Invitational golf tournament is set for May 2 at Kaneohe Klipper. The cost is $200 per player in the three-person, best-ball event and includes lunch and dinner. The shotgun start is at noon. The deadline is April 27. For information, call 956-2506.
Nothing official yet but the tournament the Wahine will head to in between the third preseason and first Big West match is at Wichita State. No surprise to those who guessed it would be, given Shoji’s friendship with Chris Lamb. So no to the guess that it was Notre Dame. Appears that Averill would move to Opp if Zarkovic is unable to play against the Cougars. The added thinking is that he puts up a big block on Sander. This lineup would have Sedore L1, Timmer L2. Reports out of practice was that Averill looked good at Opp Middles would be Holt and West. If Zarkovic plays, it changes things. Team leaves Wednesday overnight to SLC.

since it’s getting buried on another thread, I do not know all the details but he has been ruled ineligible. not an academic issue, it was about his amateur status so there must have been money involved at some point or some sort of inappropriate contact. It will not affect any wins that UH has in matches Marks played in this year and last. Warriors will head to BYU latter this week.
