First workout started at 630 The 2 hours went very quickly. Opened with drills then broke into 3 courts by position. Middles, OHs and DS. Setters Higgins and Koelsch alternated setting the OHs and MBs. Second practice this afternoon Shoji said with so many returnees that they’ll be able to get into practice mode.

Mentioned on previous thread that Mitchem won’t be at practice until later next week, possibly Friday. Former CCH (BYUH), USA, UH (assistant) and BYU caoch Carl McGown is joining Tino Reyes’ staff at UH Hilo. His assistant’s job with the Vulcans starts Saturday. More recently been coach of the Swiss national team. One of the best volleyball minds out there IMHO. A good guy who is also a ski instructor in Utah.
