The University of Hawaii baseball team was picked to finish tied with UC Riverside for seventh out of nine teams in the Big West preseason baseball poll released Thursday.

UH, which finished tied for last with Cal State Northridge with a 6-18 mark in 2014, was seventh out of 10 teams in its inaugural season in the BWC in 2013.

Cal State Fullerton, which finished fourth in the conference last year, earned the top spot in the poll, beating defending champion Cal Poly by a single point.

UC Santa Barbara, which received one first-place vote, UC Irvine and Long Beach State rounded out the top five. The Matadors finished sixth with UC Davis taking the bottom spot.

The Big West sent four teams to the NCAA tournament last year with the Anteaters advancing to the College World Series.

Collegiate Baseball has Cal Poly (13), UCSB (16), Fullerton (17) and UCI (39) ranked in its preseason top 40.

Hawaii has 18 newcomers this season and could start as many as six new position players when the season opens Feb. 13 against Oregon.

Why did BJ extend Trap’s contract? Oh well, another good reason why he’s out.

Heck who cares!. Like, I have said before that?. Sportswriter for all kinds of magazines. Coaches from other conference’s teams and peoples. Will always put down the University of Hawaii sports program!. I really don’t care if they’re finished last or first to me University of Hawaii baseball is always the best team in the counties!. But what really made laugh and always bring back memories was that!?. The Sportswriter said that? The University of Hawaii football is pick to 3 in the WAC. But they finish first and taken the WAC and went to the Sugar Bowl!. And even since 1980 ! When their said that? The University of Hawaii baseball will finish 4th in the conference. But they went on to the College Baseball World Series. But finished behind University of Arizona and some people forget about it! But, I don’t!

I don’t care whatever some of you say about Ben Jay!. To me he was trying to show the other big and well known colleges that? University of Hawaii could play and beat the big boys!. Remember this others big University do play with major league baseball teams before their baseball season starts!. And also remember that people in other university thinks that they are better then Hawaii!. Because one there are small players and Asians can’t play baseball!. Remember! Look what happened when University of Hawaii baseball had beat 11th raking Georgia Tech in three games! There were frightening doing the game and after because they were being embarrassed by a little asian players!
