Right now, the BWest TV says technical difficulties for the UH match. It is pregame now. The other BW matches seem to have no problems right now. This was the same error message that came up for the UH women’s soccer match for awhile yesterday .

  2. Astroboy November 8, 2019 4:54 pm

I’m seeing the same thing. Hope it is just an error because they aren’t sending video yet.

  3. wahinefan87 November 8, 2019 4:55 pm

    Mahalia White is out

  4. islandman November 8, 2019 5:01 pm

    Video okay now

  5. Cindy Luis November 8, 2019 5:01 pm

    3. yes, see main box. Updates there.

  6. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 5:06 pm

is big west video working for the game?

  7. Baby-Dude November 8, 2019 5:11 pm

Sr. night for Davis. They honored Both Davis and Wahine seniors which was nice.

  8. jmy November 8, 2019 5:21 pm

Two big upsets and Pitt & Florida just escaping…Interesting scores…

  9. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 5:24 pm

what kind of fake unofficial challenge was that caused by davis coach?

  10. Baby-Dude November 8, 2019 5:26 pm

Slow start for Wahine. Not good.

  11. Maverick November 8, 2019 5:30 pm

The passing is atrocious this first set. Ross shanked a few balls and Wagoner’s serve receive is not much better. A minor miracle that UH is only down 1.

  12. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 5:37 pm

wahine need to crunch it and finish now. lets go bows!

  13. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 5:40 pm

wahine need to clean it up. not toy around. barely getting that 1st set.

    lets go bows!

  14. Cindy Luis November 8, 2019 5:43 pm

    7. yes, mentioned the UH seniors getting honored
    11. but they pulled it out.

  15. Makule November 8, 2019 5:56 pm

    Kyra in 3 straight errors

  16. Maverick November 8, 2019 5:57 pm

Another poorly played set. Okino just shanked a pass super ugly. Not fun to watch. Imagine worse to play.

  17. Maverick November 8, 2019 6:00 pm

Now Ross back in for Wagoner. Maybe one of them will take advantage of the PT tonight.

  18. airin November 8, 2019 6:03 pm

Hanawahine should be used as the one rotation server and have Okino come back in to stabilize the back row. I don’t think she’s had enough court time to run the defense. I feel she’s a bit more aggressive than Okino, but the experience makes a difference.

  19. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 6:04 pm

come on wahine. turn up the heat. make davis surrender.

    lets go bows!

  20. Cindy Luis November 8, 2019 6:11 pm

    18. they don’t libero out the DS.

  21. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 6:14 pm

wahine need to get it back together. they barely kept the first set but cant keep doing what theyre currently doing.

  22. airin November 8, 2019 6:14 pm

    20. Of course, with subbing the middle [Igiede] back in, who Hanawahine serves for.

  23. H-Man November 8, 2019 6:15 pm

    I bite my tongue.

  24. Maverick November 8, 2019 6:20 pm

    14. But the poor passing didn’t help in set 2. Ross’ shank of a dig was laughable. I know it is Davis’ senior night, but UH should not be playing down a level. It amazes me how they are hitting over .300 and more than 75 pts. higher than Davis, but is doesn’t look like it. Thank goodness for Hellvig, Iosia and BVS.

  25. Maverick November 8, 2019 6:34 pm

You can tell it is a poor passing night when the middles have less than 20% of the attempts. Too bad because they are hitting .470 for the night.

  26. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 6:35 pm

    thats more like it.

    lets go bows!

  27. Cindy Luis November 8, 2019 6:47 pm

    24. Don’t think Hawaii playing down. Davis nearly upset UH in Honolulu with Brooke Van Sickle coming off the bench in Set 3 and Wahine took the reverse sweep.
Road match. New arena for a lot of the Hawaii players.

  28. Big Island Volleyball Fan November 8, 2019 6:57 pm

This is so frustrating; I can’t synchronize the sound with the video. If I pause the sound and then restore it where I think it would synchronize, it jumps ahead two rallies again. For this reason I don’t enjoy watching this match. Was anyone successful? If yes, how did you do it?

  29. warriorwahine November 8, 2019 7:11 pm

nice dominating punch out. by na wahine!

  30. Maverick November 8, 2019 7:11 pm

    27. No Mahalia White tonite.

  31. Bleachcoach November 8, 2019 7:15 pm

    Wow! BROOKE VAN SICKLE!!

  32. Shar November 8, 2019 7:23 pm

Kyra and Jolie were an amazing duo during last Spring’s exhibition. They were very similar to the Worsley brothers. I thought they had played together all along, not knowing Jolie had red shirted. Despite it all, we need to remember that we have a YOUNG team. At any given time, Iosia can be the only starter from last year on the court. The Freshman started practicing as a team in August, not in June. I don’t want to sound as if I am sermonizing but there are going to be errors. We have a GREAT team but they are new and, as stated earlier, in a new gym (for some).

  33. Baby-Dude November 8, 2019 7:29 pm

28 I thought live stream was good tonight, but i still hate the camera angle.

  34. Bleachercoach November 8, 2019 7:32 pm

It’s amazing how BVS can just jump up without a running start, hang time, and completely demolish the ball. Norene’s phenomenal serving really brought us back in this match and many other matches. Riley came in and did a fantastic job passing tonite. These girls again raises my blood pressure every match. These are the 21 win “heart attack” gang. They find a way and will to win!!!

  35. sports for fun November 8, 2019 7:40 pm

Dang it!! I missed sets 3 and 4!! Glad I could come here and see the results!! Okay, I take back what I said about firing the director who had end line camera shot for the last points in the UH/Cal Poly game. At least majority of that match was side view.

  36. Cindy Luis November 8, 2019 7:45 pm

Copy of our breaking story in main box.
    30. and no White tonight. not medically cleared but Davis also ran their middles better. Ough was 5-3-13 in Honolulu, 13-2-19 tonight
Matias finished 13-10-51. three errors to finish match. She was 17-4-34 at the SSC

  37. UHVoice97 November 8, 2019 7:47 pm

    Big West Updates:
    Long Beach State – 3, UC Irvine – 0
    25-16, 25-14, 26-24

    CSUN – 3, CSU Fullerton – 1
    25-18, 25-22, 26-28, 25-11

  38. tongo November 8, 2019 8:53 pm

Nice adjustments in match – Amber serving to put pressure on Aggies receivers, moving Amber around with some 3 sets, Tiffany with the slide, Hanna with the crossings, and finding Brooke to bail us out. Great comeback by Okino after rough start.

  39. blunite November 8, 2019 10:12 pm

Wahine have a tendency to play better in the latter sets. Perhaps they need a longer warm-up prior to the game?

  40. Sheila November 9, 2019 7:26 am

All BigWest opponents except poly, show brilliance for about 2/3 rd of match, then loose vigor and let wahine to escape. Although wahine sometimes looks disoriented and falling apart, coaching staff, as usual, knows how to turn around for final knock. Good team effort & team spirit to hanging there for another W.
