As mentioned a while ago (courtesy of the Longhorns):
Hawaii is hosting Texas on Friday, March 22. That’s preceded by a scrimmage in Hilo and the Pepperdine tournament in Malibu.

The details:
The Hawaii women’s volleyball team has filled its spring break later this month with a trip to Hawaii Island and the mainland, sandwiching a spring match with Texas.

The Rainbow Wahine will hold two youth clinics, two open practices and an intrasquad scrimmage at the Hawaii Hilo Gym. On Saturday, March 16, the clinic begins at 10:30 a.m.

On Sunday, March 17, the first youth clinch is for grades 4-8 and begins at 9 a.m. The second clinic is for grades 9-12 and starts at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday’s practice is at 4 p.m. followed by an intrasquad scrimmage at 5 p.m. Autograph sessions follow Saturday’s practice and Sunday’s scrimmage.

On Friday, March 22, Hawaii will host Texas at the Stan Sheriff Center at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale March 11. Prices are $6 (ages 4-high school), $9 for seniors (65-and-older) and $11 (adults).

The Wahine then travel to Pepperdine for the Waves’ spring tournament on Saturday, March 30. Also competing are USC and Point Loma.

In previous years the spring game was open seating, does anyone know if that is the case this time?

    1. looks like those are general admission prices so that would be open seating. there isn’t anything saying upper/lower.

My guess is they will only open the lower bowl. If the lower bowl gets too crowded then they will allow for fans to go to the upper.

I believe they did that for the HS basketball tourney in the past. It’s the common sense thing to do. No reason to open the top if only 2000 fans show up(I hope for 4000).

Kind of meaningless game and an exhibition. Hope fans show up cause we are playing a powerhouse in Texas.

    Men’s Volleyball vs. King University

DARN! Looks like it won’t be televised, even on Bigwest.TV. I looked at the website and I don’t see it as an upcoming event. Am I wrong? (I hope I am)

Anyway, I have been to all the games so I hope more people show up tonight since it probably will not be televised.

    # 4 Spectrum Sports is televising the opening game of the UH vs Oregon baseball series. I believe Spectrum will then televise the Ball State and Pepperdine matches.

I think more fans will be more interested in UH vs Oregon in baseball than UH vs King in volleyball.
