Wahine pick up transfer from Maryland

Angel Gaskin, a 6-1 Opp has transfered from Maryland to play for Hawaii next season
Ah Mow-Santos told me the other day they have several offers out and just waiting for players to sign.

It is a quick fix and not a project IMHO

From UH
Gaskin will be eligible to play her final season this fall
She is a left-handed, 6-1, opposite from Tampa, Fla. In three seasons with the Terrapins, she recorded 597 kills (1.87 p/set) with 223 total blocks and 62 digs. Last season as team captain, she played in all 32 matches and finished the season with 184 kills (1.66 p/set) with 58 total blocks (.52 p/set). Gaskin recently tried out for the Collegiate U.S. National Team along with current UH players Tita Akiu, McKenna Granato and Norene Iosia.

Gaskin was a 2015 graduate of Plant High School in Tampa, Fla. She helped lead Plant to three district titles and earned all-conference first team honors in 2014.

Great pickup for next season at opposite.
I wonder does she plan to play beach after indoor?

I hope us UH fans don’t call her Angela when she gets here. It’s Angel.

I think Robyn and staff are doing a smart thing, work on impact transfers that will play for a season or two, and supplement with strong high school recruits.

Please no more 5-10″ outside hitters. Hope we are looking in Canada and Europe.
