Happy campers

The weather was muggy, wet and weird.

Practices were tough, with full-padded, scrimmage-like sessions on Thursday and Saturday.

But the Warriors’ final week of training camp also featured offensive lineman Luke Clements’ breakout performance in the Lip Sync Battle, the addition of three players, an appearance by Spider-Man, and a cool conclusion.

I wish that shave ice truck came to Kaneohe yesterday. Would have help get me through trimming the ulu tree. Now I’m gonna drive to ward and get some Waiola with the lychee, strawberry cream, blueberry combo. With Waiola’s smooth ice the strawberry cream on it taste like guri guri ice cream. Yum!

Btw I applied to be the score operator at the stadium. If I get it I will take any music request,PSA or message you want on the big screen. Lol.

Morning all. Seems like a very productive camp with no major injuries.
What? No ice cream and azuke beans with their shave ice?? 🙂
Making an run to Shimazu Shave Ice in this heat.

A great week for the Warriors. Chow put the “icing” on the cake.

Faalologo, Davis and Vele in a Big Boom Backfield?

    GO WARRIORS!!!

I watched some of last night’s replays of Ohio State’s 2014 games. Phew, it’s going to be a daunting task to contain RB Ezekiel Elliott and QB T J Barrett’s passing. How do their receivers get so open? And our OI will have to contain DE Joey Bosa. He can really disrupt the passing game by harassing/sacking the QB. Ohio State is simply just loaded with good/great players. Saw one chink in the armor. Hawaii can beat CB Eli Apple.

Glad to hear about Mel Davis and Bernard. Heard D Butler is pretty fast ?

Did the spiderman pic clear the censors ? Terrific pictures though. Didn’t recognize Vince.

H-Man: Was watching some of that myself. Urban has a “Nice Little Team” there.

Very nice gesture by coach Chow!!

  9. H-Man August 23, 2015 12:28 pm

3-Prong, yup, Urban had the Buckeyes humming. Did you see last week’s re-telecast of the Hawaii-Colorado game? A game Hawaii could have won. Based on the performance of both teams last year, I think Hawaii should win the re-match at Aloha Stadium this season.

Planning to attend a UH football road game this year?
If so, please post here or send me an email to be listed at

    http://stevem.altervista.org/away15.html

Those attending the Ohio State game should email me your logistical info (ETA, hotel, ticket section/row, ETD). Some of you are staying in the same hotel… heck, you might be sitting two seats from each other and not know it. 🙂 I only list row numbers. You may optionally share seat info with other in the group email I will send a week before road game, and possibly make further plans.

Because the players had a day and a half befor the start of school, they received per diem for the four missing meals. All and all, they were happy campers.

Think Jarryd Hayne would be a good pitchman for Subway in the US and Australia.

Nice that Dave Matlin doesn’t have to deal with an inebriated head coach. http://www.pacifictakes.com/usc-trojans/2015/8/23/9193283/usc-trojans-head-coach-sark-salute-to-troy-drunk-rumors-inebriated-turn-up

When you’re hunting for parking in Manoa, especially the area surrounding the UH campus, make sure you don’t leave your car too close to a resident’s driveway. They are not shy about having it removed.

I remember watching “Dogtown and Z-Boys” at the old Varsity before picking up my Chevy Prism(don’t be jealous) at the towyard. Best accidental viewing of a film ever. I just wanted to get out of the sun. (I’ve since graduated to a Honda Civic.) Vertical skating was pioneered because of a water shortage. They drained the pools.

    What timing.

    Dry summer.

First day of school: torrential downpour.

Good luck students. Quoting Jake Gylenhaal in David Fincher’s “Zodiac”: “Learn something.”

If you encounter people who don’t believe in global warming, like I do, just say these five words: “The Marshall Islands are sinking,” and drop the mike.
