Fishing tale

This summer, safety Daniel Lewis and linebacker Max Broman were part of a crew for a boat that catered to celebrities. Lewis said there was a memorable time with comedian/actor Dane Cook:

“We threw some lines out while we were sailing to Lanai. One of the lines was straight. We were like, ‘Oh we caught something.’ I asked (Cook), ‘do you want to reel it in?’ ‘Can I?’ I said, ‘sure, you paid for all this.’ He started reeling it in and reeling it in. The thing is all the way out. … He’s reeling and reeling and reeling. ‘Man, this is getting tough.’… He passed it off to Max. Max starts reeling it in. He passes it off to me. I start reeling it in. It gets closer. I give it back to Dane, so he could do the final thing. We were really reeling for a solid 10 minutes probably, just reeling and reeling. As it gets closer you could see a light blue thing in the water. He was like, ‘we got something.’ As it gets closer and closer, the next thing you know, his agent goes, ‘I think that’s my shirt.’ Sure enough, when we pull it out of the water, it was a shirt that was on the seat, flew off in the wind, caught the line, and pulled the line all the way. Who knows how long we’d been pulling that thing? We thought we were going to pull in this big marlin, or something like that. Naw, it was a shirt. It was crazy. What are the odds of a shirt flying off, catching on to that? It was a cool thing.”

On Saturday night, Broman was awarded a football scholarship from coach Nick Rolovich.

Excited for the new season, but being stuck in Georgia, options to seeing any games depends on national tv. Is there anyword about a deal to stream the games online? Hoping, I would prefer not to have to listen to Curran for another year….Go Bows

Hawai’i – Home of the Fightin’ Shirts!

Why are there two ads for “Face Shields” at the top and the bottom of this page? There’s even a guy with a fishing pole in the back ground. Face Shields for landing Fightin’ Shirts?

In case anybody missed it, those ads were click throughs for this. Any favorites?
