It’s quite a busy Thursday around the Manoa lower campus. Quite a busy week, actually. For the precise breakdown, check out Jason Kaneshiro’s post here.

I’ll do my best to provide updates spanning UH men’s and women’s basketball (both on the road), and will be rotating from site to site between UH softball against Cal (6 p.m. projected start), UH baseball against Oregon (6:35 start), and UH men’s volleyball against King University (7 p.m. start).

Live updates below.

9:40 p.m. Ethan Lopez connects for a 2-RBI single to left, cutting the deficit to 6-4 in the bottom of the seventh.

9:25 p.m.: UH gets runners on first and second with two outs against Breault. He gives way to another reliever, who issues a walk. Two outs, bases loaded.

9:20 p.m.: Kamehameha alumnus Hunter Breault is in to pitch in relief for the Ducks.

9:17 p.m.: Oregon gets the two runs back in the top of the seventh, but at least UH turns a 4-6-3 double play to get out of the inning.

9:04 p.m.: Amazingly, Oregon gets out of the inning giving up just one (correction, two) runs. Ducks still lead 4-2 going into the top of the seventh.

9:00 p.m.: Bases loaded, no outs, Logan Pouelsen at the dish …

8:54 p.m.: Alex Baeza comes feet from launching one out of the park. But his double still scores Yamazaki and men are on second and third with no outs, Rainbows trailing 4-2.

8:50 p.m.: Maaki Yamazaki singles home Daylen Calicdan in the bottom of the sixth. UH is on the board, trailing Oregon 4-1.

8:43 p.m.: Here’s Cindy Luis’ breaking story of UHMVB steamrolling King University.

8:42 p.m.: UH turns a double play, 5-4-3, to get out of the top of the sixth with no damage. Plenty of work to do to get back in this one, though.

8:37 p.m.: Settled in outside the Les Murakami Stadium press box, but not before getting in a little video. The Ducks have increased their advantage to 4-0.

8:19 p.m.: That’s exactly where I’m headed, actually.

8:17 p.m.: You can still catch the last four innings of UH baseball. The Oregon Ducks lead it 3-0 in the top of the fifth. Li‘i Pontes checked out with six strikeouts and two earned runs in 4.2 innings.

8:15: And it’s a wrap in the Stan Sheriff Center. UHMVB (13-0) completes a 25-8, 25-15, 25-7 rout of King University. UH hits .540 to King’s negative-.267.

7:21 p.m.: Not getting better here at RWSS. Cal tacks on three in the top of the fifth for a 14-0 lead. This is well on its way to being the worst loss of the season for the Wahine. Even UCLA won only 7-0.

7:13 p.m.: Blink and you might miss the UH volleyball team tonight. Rainbow Warriors lead 14-4 in Set 1.

7:11 p.m.: Cal extends its lead over the UH softball team to 11-0 through four innings. Every member of the Cal lineup has at least one hit (12 as a team). UH has three hits off Kamalani Dung.

6:48 p.m.: FINAL: Hawaii women’s basketball pulls off the road win at UC Riverside, 51-44, to stay alive for the No. 2 seed and a double bye in the Big West tournament. Fourteen points, 7 reb for freshman Myrrah Joseph.

6:48 p.m.: An error allows the Ducks to get on the board first at the Les, 1-0 going to the bottom of the first.

6:46 p.m.: They’re trading buckets now at UC Davis. UH holds a 71-67 lead over the Aggies with 1:16 left after a couple of Brocke Stepteau free throws. TJ Shorts II up to 26 points for Davis.

6:30 p.m.: Word on the street is Marcus Mariota could be present for the UH baseball team’s game against Oregon tonight. First pitch coming in about five minutes.

6:19 p.m.: Cal can’t be stopped. Emily Klee had replaced Izzy Dino, but it’s another homer by Cal — this one a two-run shot — and it’s 8-0 Golden Bears. Mikayla Coelho with this one.

6:14 p.m.: Cal has blown it open in the top of the second. Lindsay Rood cranks a three-run shot to right-center and it’s 6-0 Golden Bears.

6:13 p.m.: Eddie Stansberry and Leland Green hit consecutive 3s and it is TIED at UC Davis, 44-all, with 12:37 to play. Another 3 by Stansberry and UH has its first lead since the opening minutes, 47-44.

6:12 p.m.: Make that four straight hits for Cal and a 3-0 lead in the top of the second.

6:11 p.m.: Both basketball teams making a push on the road. ‘Bows have rallied to within 42-38 at Davis after a three-point play by Dawson Carper (6 pts, 7 reb) and the Rainbow Wahine lead at Riverside, 32-29, with Myrrah Joseph (13 pts, 6-8 FGs) leading the way.

5:48 p.m.: Meanwhile, the Rainbow Wahine are also at halftime at Riverside, tied 23-23. Myrrah Joseph has a team-high seven points off the bench. Both teams shooting in the 30s. Wahine have hit a couple 3s to none for UCR, but the Wahine are plus-four in turnovers.

5:45 p.m.: Eddie Stansberry has a pull-up 3 hit the back iron and the ‘Bows trail 36-25 at halftime at Davis’ Pavilion. They trailed by as many as 16 in the period, so that’s not as bad as it could’ve been. Jack Purchase, Brocke Stepteau and Zigmars Raimo with five points apiece to lead UH, which is shooting 35.7 percent with eight turnovers.

5:39 p.m.: Looks like Riverside’s versatile star, Jannon Otto, is not playing tonight. Wahine will take it.

5:36 p.m.: Rainbow Wahine playing tough at Riverside with the same by-committee approach that netted them the senior night win over Cal State Fullerton. It’s 20-18 UH midway through the second quarter. UH men, though, continue to trail by double digits at Davis, down 32-20 late in the half. They’re shooting only 30.8 percent.

5:35 p.m.: Pepperdine swept Ball State at the Sheriff Center (13, 23, 21) in the match preceding tonight’s MVB match with King University.

5:29 p.m.: Just been informed things are running early in the tournament games over at UH softball. The Cal game may now start before 6 p.m.

5:28 p.m.: Tough sledding so far for the Rainbow Warriors at Davis, which has become a very tough place to play in the Big West. Aggies are shooting near 60 percent through the first 12 minutes and opened up a double-digit lead.

5:24 p.m.: Coming to you live from the media work room at the Stan Sheriff Center. Both basketball teams in action with simultaneous start times. The live streams are here for the men and here for the women.
