Great rally that gave UH its 23rd point of set 1. What pinball defense! So far best rally of the set.
Our point # 23 was one of the most amazing display of athletic volleyball I have ever seen.
R23. Was that Rado with the amazing kill? he was so quick never see him get up that quick before.
When Rado is on fire this team really can win it all, but when he’s not, csun happens.

This time UCSB tied the score at 23 in set 2. Hope this won’t be a turnpoint in their favor. Hawaii called timeout. I didn’t understand why Hawaii didn’t get the 24th point. Was it a net violation?
Hawaii was up in Set 2 23-21, has given up three straight with SVT blocked twice. TO UH down 24-23.
Timeout again as UCSB scored the 24th point and now they have set point. Seems like a critical turnpoint in the match.
Gauchos even the match with 27-25 win in Set 2.
Stijn not playing well on his birthday or this weekend in general is just shocking to me.
Good thing Rado is making up for her it so far.
10. IMHO UCSB is more worried about SVT, who tends to play himself out of bad matches.

We should not be surprised if player have bad matches. Nobody can stay hot forever. Last few weeks Rado was “ junk” and people was calling for his benching. Now Stijn is playing junk but we still winning .
We will have to stick with lineup for the rest of the year and hopefully next year, everyone will jell and give LBSU a run for their money. Tui is the only senior so we will have a very experienced team next year.
The Beach clinches the regular-season title with a 25-21, 25-18, 25-13 sweep of UC San Diego.

UH wins 25-14. first time they’ve ever won two at UCSB in a season.
Hawaii finally won in four sets. Could be the very last victory of the season. This week Irvine is tied with Hawaii but next week Hawaii plays #1 Long Beach and Irvine will play UCSB and CSUN will play UCSD. I wish UCSD could upset CSUN on Senior night to salvage a measure of pride at the end of the regular season and help UH make third place; otherwise, CSUN would win the tiebreaker. I’d like to see Irvine beat UCSB both times next week. Then Irvine could clinch #2 place. I wish UH would never have to face CSUN any more this year. If UH gets third place in the Big West Tournament, they’d face UCSD and then Irvine, where there is a 50-50 chance to win. Then UH would improve its chances for an at-large berth. UH needs help big time from UCSD and though it’s a long shot, it’s not an impossible dream. UH needs a miracle season just like that movie now playing in Honolulu theaters.
