“Hawaiian Bod”
Back in the early days of the blog, Hawaiian Bod was a regular poster who attended functions and shared his passion for UH football.
He was a good guy who maintained a good attitude despite medical challenges. He demonstrated grace and grit. Most of all, he inspired.
I received a message the other day that we lost him.
But we’ll always remember his courage, optimism and fellowship.
Deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

I didn’t know him, but still condolences to his family for their loss. By the way, when did this blog start up? I think I started participating around 2013.
I came here to post huge congratulations to ST for his best writer award. ST and his brother are marvelously talented and super hard working to boot!
But there’s also the ying and yang thing. There was no one more courageous with an attitude to match. Never heard him complain about the short stack that was dealt him. H-Bod, finally you are pain-free. Rest peacefully.
@#3 H-Man. More than a few Tsaikos go back to the Advertiser blog and that was probably around 2006-07 time frame. I can’t bet the house on it since my memory cells are older than ancient.

When I was a teenager in the 80’s, my brother bought me one of those “Complete Handbook of Pro Basketball” paperback books. Two and a half inches thick, filled with stats and the most cleverly written, humorous and delightful profiles of every NBA player of the time. I loved those books. I wish I kept one. Sometimes when I read some of your articles (and the Prefaces you write to introduce a topic on your blog) it reminds me of those handbooks. Make us laugh and think at the same time, very clever. Congratulations on the Award.
