Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

BTW, they have not finalized the date for  the annual indoor mini-tourney usually in Gym II with HPU, Chaminade, BYUH. They are trying to work around the sand schedule. Warriors stay at No. 11 in poll

Not much movement. 1-4 the same: Loyola, BYU, UCLA, Pepperdine. The Beach and UCSB swap at 5-6, SC and Stanford both move a spot, Troujans to 8, Cardinal to 9. UCI down to 7. Penn State move up 2 from 12 to 10.

will be doing more of a story as the season gets closer. Opener is March 7 Went to campus practice today. They’re usually there M-W-F and at Queen’s on a couple of other days. He’s got 11 sand-specific, down from 14 in fall.
