Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

More info on Wahine trip to Europe, 6 Sunday matches

Had an earlier thread last Friday now have more details. There will be full story in Wednesday paper. Oh, and thanks to football on Saturday, Wahine will have six Sunday matches. No word as to what Manu-Olevao will do 3 Sunday matches during the first four weeks, 3 others during conference play. Schedule will be released when contracts are finalized. Hawaii stays at No. 1, 10 first-place votes. Loyola-Chicago 4 votes stays at No. 2. Pepperdine, helped by two wins over BYU trades places with Lewis at 3-4. The Wahine likely will be making their first trip to Europe after finals in May. Not officially approved by all the admin but Itinerary includes Italy and Czech Republic. Sounds cool.
