Hawaii enters the final day of the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic looking for a bounce-back performance against Texas A&M in today’s tournament finale at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Coming off a sweep of Fairfield, Hawaii faces Marquette in Day 2 of the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The countdown to the return of University of Hawaii women’s volleyball ends tonight when the Rainbow Wahine take on Fairfield on the opening night of the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic. On this date in 1979, the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team took an important step toward a national championship. ON THIS DATE: Rainbow Wahine set tone for 2010 season

On this date in 2010, Hawaii did all that it wanted to in a season-opening sweep of Utah State. Kanani Danielson led the way with 15 kills and Chanteal Satele was next with 14. Elizabeth Kaaihue led the way for Hawaii with 15 of the team’s 59 digs. In all, Dave Shoji’s crew hit .235 to Utah State’s .108 and outblocked the Aggies 18-13.

Robyn Ah Mow has officially added a fourth player to her incoming 2020 class. Siena Springborn, a 6-foot middle/opposite out of Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, Calif., was announced by UH on Friday.
