Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

Vorster to transfer after graduating

Jade Vorster will be transferring after graduating with her chemistry degree this May. The 6-4 middle blocker is eligible to play for Liberty as a graduate student. It’s a Christian college in Virginia. The Flames are DI, play in the Big South. Should have something Thursday about UH transfer. Spoke with Shoji at sand today. There will be one other bit of news first that UH will announce, probably in the morning. No, he isn’t retiring. sorry, took me almost 2 hours to get from waikiki to Kailua. some great play by Hawaii today, match with SC could have easily going 3-2 in their favor.
