Colton Goeas, a 2013 Saint Louis School graduate and former Kansas linebacker, is set to join the Warriors this fall. But whether he will be eligible to play this coming season is awaiting a ruling from the NCAA. Goeas is petitioning for an exemption to a rule requiring a transferring player to establish one-year, full-time “residency” at his new school before being eligible to play. Raised in ‘Ewa Beach and soon to be graduating from Iolani School, lineman Taaga Tuulima is living a life seemingly created in a Disney writers’ room. In this academic year’s third quarter, Tuulima set a goal of straight A’s. He did better, earning a 4.5 GPA, thanks to advance-placement classes in calculus, physics and economy.
