Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

Wahine at UCR match on ESPNU

from the Big West today ESPNU will televise the Hawaii at UC Riverside women’s volleyball match Friday, October 28 at 8 p.m. PT (5 p.m. HT) inside the HIghlanders’ SRC Arena. Defending Big West champions Hawaii finished 16-0 record in conference and 29-2 after a four-set loss to Minnesota in the Elite 8. UH finished the year ranked No. 7 in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The Highlanders will have a new floor at the SRC.
