Maglio at AA banquet; Warriors sign 3

By Cindy Luis on December 15, 2017

A couple of pictures from today’s AA banquet in Kansas City, Mo. Second pictures a little ironic. Ah Mow-Santos’ last match as a Wahine was when Hawaii lost to Stanford with Kerri Walsh as a freshman. As for the men, mention Hogland last month. Other two are Devon Johnson, and Filip Humler for the 2019 season. From UH: http://www.hawaiiathletics.com/news/2017/12/4/mens-volleyball-inks-three-for-2019.aspx The 6-foot-5 Hogland is a two-sport standout at ‘Iolani School He led the Raiders to a semifinal appearance in the HHSAA […]

By Cindy Luis on December 14, 2017

Beach (4 first-place votes). 2. Hawaii (2 votes). 3. CSUN and UCI. 5. UCSB. 6.

Congrats to Maglio, 2nd team AA

By Cindy Luis on December 13, 2017

https://www.avca.org/awards/all-regional-all-america-awards/division-i-allamerica.html Maglio headed to Kansas City to attend the AA banquet which is Friday. Interviewed her yesterday. AVCA embargoed this until this morning. Kahuku’s Adora Anae makes 1st team. Maglio the only player from a non-Power 5 school to make the first two teams. From the Big West, Cal Poly’s Van Winden sisters and Nelson were honorable mention, as was UCSB’s Ruddins. She is the 30th Rainbow Wahine to be named to an All-American team, giving the program 58 certificates. […]
