Thursday was an emotional day with end of the partnership between Panda Travel and the UH athletic department. It was a relationship that spanned more than 20 years, and grew from then-Gov. Ben Cayetano’s appeal for the community to support the UH football program. Panda’s two-person office on the athletic complex’s third floor was cleared Thursday to make way for the JTB Hawaii, which won the rights to arrange UH’s travel. Peterson, who will be a senior this fall, said he plans to graduate in December and enroll at UH in January 2019.
