By Stephen Tsai on June 21, 2017

I’ve only personally met six people whom I thought were hysterically funny: Augie T, Andy Bumatai, Nicky Clark, Kanoa Leahey, Lei Colburn and my son. So when Augie says UH safety Tumua Tuinei is funny, well, that’s a good enough recommendation. Tuinei’s stand-up routine is the opening act for “A Summer 4 All” show on July 7 at the Hawaii Theatre. Here’s the Star-Advertiser story: Tumua Tuinei Tickets may be purchased at: Hawaii Theatre There also are discount tickets for […]

Former UH quarterback Sean Schroeder, PAAMCO and several individual donors will pay the insurance, rental and operational costs. Each camper gets T-shirt. “Our form of payment is seeing kids succeed, like we were able to when we played,” said Schroeder, UH’s starter in 2012 and 2013. “We wanted to make it inclusive to […]

A brief recap of the Warriors’ youth movement: > In 2000, Patrick Lavar Harley joined the Warriors as a linebacker. He was 16. Harley could read and write at age 3. He began kindergarten at 4. He was promoted from third grade straight to fifth grade. That freshman year at UH he could […]

Nick Rolovich came away with a few observations from the past weekend’s Elite Camp, such as: > It was elite: “You’re probably talking about 95 percent of the best football players in the state were at the camp,” Rolovich said. “You’re going to hear a lot of those names being called at this year’s high school football games.” > Future Warriors? “Toward the middle of the camp, I’ve never been more convinced that the majority of our recruiting class could […]
