Hawaii’s memorable ride in 2015-16 came to an end Sunday in the NCAA Tournament second round, but moments and memories of this group are sure to endure.
Can you believe it? No. 13 Hawaii against No. 5 Maryland with a trip to Louisville, Ky., on the line.
How great is it that the NCAA came to its senses and stopped calling the First Four play-in games the first round?
The Rainbow Warriors get a chance at their first NCAA Tournament victory. Possibly a good chance, if you’ve followed the unfortunate happenings to 4-seed Cal this week.
Hawaii and Cal conducted media interviews a day out from their NCAA Tournament first-round game.
As prominent NCAA Tournament picks go, though, it doesn’t get greater than President Barack Obama’s “Barack-etology.”
One of the most notable snubs for this year’s tourney was Saint Mary’s out of the West Coast Conference. The Gaels had a 27-5 record, like Hawaii, but unlike the Rainbow Warriors didn’t have the luxury of an automatic berth when they lost to Gonzaga for their conference tournament title.
