Dig Pink Saturday, SandBows host Portuguese Horseshoe Tourney

Saturday vs. CSUN is Hawaii’s Dig Pink Hawaii Pacific Health is the sponsor for “Dig Pink Night” and will distribute Pink Shirts to the first 500 fans at Gate A along with awarding other prizes throughout the night. Hawaii Pacific Health will also be doing a free health screening at Gate A. Rise of the Wahine tonight, MVB & SVB news

The “Rise of the Wahine” premiere event takes place today (Wednesday) at the Hawaii Theater. Doors and the red carpet for selected guests begins at 5:30 p.m. with the event starting at 6:30 p.m. Immediately following the film, filmmakers Dean Kaneshiro and Ryan Kalei Tsuji along with former UH Wahine volleyball coach Dave Shoji and the first Wahine volleyball team captain Beth McLaughlin will participate in a panel discussion. Cowell-Rosenmeier 13th at World University Beach

University of Hawaii men’s volleyball players Colton Cowell and Brett Rosenmeier finished 13th at the World University Beach Volleyball Championships in Munich, Germany, today. Cowell-Rosenmeier, seeded 28th, upset No. 2 seed Mateusz Lysikowski and Mateusz Paszkowski of Poland, 21-18, 12-21, 15-12 in a match that lasted 43 minutes at the TUM courts at Olympic Park. The U.S. men’s national volleyball team, with three former Hawaii prep products on the roster, will be on Oahu July 23-28. From UH The Rainbow Warrior men’s volleyball pair of Brett Rosenmeier and Colton Cowell fell in the championship match of the USAV Collegiate Beach Championship Saturday to Florida State’s Jon Justice and Adam Wienckowski, 15-21, 28-26, 15-12. The UH duo, who finished fourth in this event last year, went 3-1 record duirng this year’s tournament.
