Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

Hawaii drops out of poll, at No. 26

Hawaii fell out of the Top 25 poll today, Believe it’s the first time since 1992. Interesting thing is that every time UH has lost, the team that beat them replaced them at the former ranking. UCLA moves into 22 Michigan State at 25 with 117 points, Hawaii at 95 pushing the Wahine out were Texas A&M unranked to No. 21 and Loyola Marymount unranked to No. 23. Top 5 all the same. Stanford, Texas, Penn State, Wisconsin and Washington

UCLA-Hawaii rewind

Some may disagree but IMHO it was a very winnable match. Hawaii did a pretty good job on Lowe, who was averaging 7.07 kps coming in. She finished with 17, 7 in Set 3, a couple late. On the previous thread serving was mentioned.
