Cindy Luis covers University of Hawaii volleyball for the Star-Advertiser. She began her career as a sports journalist in Hawaii in 1981 with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and was the sports editor, assistant sports editor, columnist and beat writer during a 31-year span before the paper became the Star-Advertiser. She graduated from UCLA in 1977 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

Was chatting with Hall for a story and asked about Manu-Olevao playing beach. He said she is officially on the team. He’s still talking to Kahakai about coming out but sounds like she wants to concentrate on indoor. as will Koelsch. Someone had asked last week about offseason surgery. Taylor had minor surgery on her right knee, has been rehabbing and should be ready for beach in a few weeks. Don’t know that status on Greeley’s knee or other ailments. […]
