Basketball live: Hawaii vs. San Francisco

By Stephen Tsai on November 29, 2019

FINAL: Hawaii uses a late 14-1 run and Drew Buggs’ career-high 25 points to beat previously unbeaten San Francisco, 85-75. UH improves to 5-2. It’s 58-all after Jordan Raitanen came off a screen and swished a 3 from the top of the key. The Dons had zipped off six points in a row when UH point guard Drew Buggs was on the bench. But a technical against the Dons for flopping and Zigmars Raimo’s free throw boosted UH. * * […]

After a missed field goal by the Aztecs, Aquino and other photographers ran onto the field along with the UH coaching staff […]

Rainbow Forecast: Hawaii football faces Army on senior night, basketball teams play 2 doubleheaders

By Brian McInnis on November 28, 2019

First and foremost, happy Thanksgiving all. In this week’s delayed edition of the Forecast (I got a little sidetracked at the Maui Invitational) some post-Turkey Day action makes for a busy weekend. Fortunately, there was nothing on the UH calendar in the first half of the week. Of course, there’s the UH football team’s senior night battle against Army, concluding the regular season. Note the late start (7:30 p.m.) for the CBS Sports Network-televised game. The Rainbow Warriors (8-4, 5-3 […]

Hawaii women’s volleyball: Weekly awards to Amber Igiede, Sky Williams

By Cindy Luis on November 25, 2019

The Rainbow Wahine volleyball team received two of the three Big West weekly awards on Monday. Congrats to Amber Igiede on BWC Freshman of the Week and Sky Williams for BWC Defensive Player of the Week. Stunning that Norene Iosia didn’t get POW. But could be a portend of things to come tomorrow when All-Big West comes out. Poly’s Maia Dvoracek gets POW for her big stats against UCI and Fullerton. From the Big West: Junior Sky Williams captured her […]
