Hawaii will stay home to play BYU in the Hawaii Bowl

As expected, the Hawaii football team will stay home for the holidays and face BYU in the SoFi Hawaii Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Aloha Stadium. The official announcement came earlier this morning. Hawaii (9-5) will play a 15th game this season after losing to Boise State, 31-10, in the Mountain West Conference championship game on Saturday in Idaho. Hawaii’s run to the sweet 16 of the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament went a bit easier than expected. A tie game at halftime turned into a blowout victory for No. 13 Oregon, which ran away from Hawaii 89-64 in a nonconference men’s basketball game on Saturday in Eugene, Ore. Eddie Stansberry had a game-high 24 points for Hawaii (6-3), which dropped to 1-32 all-time against ranked teams on the road.
