The Rainbow Wahine (7-5-1, 2-2 Big West), who are in a three-way tie for fourth at the midpoint of conference play, have a prime opportunity this weekend to set themselves up for a run at their first Big West tournament. If they can score a win or a couple of ties at Cal Poly (1-11-4, 1-3-1) on Friday or UC Santa Barbara (9-6, […]

With eight games in the books and five more remaining in the regular season, the Warriors are seeking to make use of a new redshirt rule to expand the active roster. The amendment allows a player to appear in up to four games and still count this as a redshirt season. “We’re going to see some guys who really aren’t freshmen anymore,” head coach Nick Rolovich said. “We want to see if there’s anyone who can help us, especially on […]

Students from Farrington High’s Friends program attended today’s UH football practice at the grass practice field. Afterward, the UH coaches and players signed autographs and posed for pictures. It was a particularly proud time for defensive end Manly “Pumba” Williams, a Farrington graduate. “It was nice to see them come out here,” Williams said. “I take pride in where I come from, where I grew up. I’m a Kalihi boy. I love it. There was no place I’d rather spend […]

By Stephen Tsai on October 16, 2018

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, cornerback Rojesterman Farris II was a signature away from the next phase of his life. During a signing ceremony at Coral Springs (Fla.) Charter High, Farris was set to make a written commitment to Wagner College, an FCS school in New York. “I was sitting at the table, and the next thing I know my dad was on the phone,” Farris recalled. “I’m looking at him, mad as hell, like, ‘C’mon, bro, it’s my day,’ […]
