Hawaii-USC water polo worth price of admission

By Brian McInnis on March 17, 2019

But the match Saturday between the Rainbow Wahine and No. 1 USC was notable for a couple of reasons. Reasons enough that you probably could’ve gotten people to pay to get in, had you been so inclined. Of course, that’s a tongue-in-cheek statement, given what happened earlier this week. But, in all seriousness, there were some genuinely compelling things in play here. […]

By Brian McInnis on March 16, 2019

The wild ride of the 2018-19 Hawaii women’s basketball team isn’t over just yet. Shortly after its 58-50 loss to top-seeded UC Davis in the Big West championship game, UH announced that the Rainbow Wahine will make their 10th all-time appearance in the WNIT. UH last participated in the […]

Hawaii baseball’s Carter Loewen poised to pounce on opportunity

By Billy Hull on March 16, 2019

After watching his team play its “worst game of the season” in his words, Hawaii baseball coach Mike Trapasso made it abundantly clear after Friday’s 8-4 loss to CSU Bakersfield that other pitchers are going to get an opportunity to throw more. “I’m not going to keep sending the same guys out there that are not throwing strikes,” Trapasso said after the ‘Bows allowed four runs — the margin of loss — to batters who either walked or were hit by a […]
