UH has added two players as walk-ons from California junior colleges.
UH coach Eran Ganot makes a public appearance on Wednesday, and some dates have been set for UH basketball’s summer hoops clinics for kids.
UCLA wing Noah Allen told the Star-Advertiser on Tuesday that he’ll be transferring to Manoa for his final year of eligibility as a graduate student.
The UH basketball postseason banquet seemed to function as a goodbye for this successful team.
Forward Zigmars Raimo of Latvia has offered a verbal commitment to the Rainbow Warriors and is expected to become official soon, possibly as soon as Thursday.
Salt Lake CC’s Gibson Johnson called his visit to UH a “10 out of 10” earlier this week. He said he plans to take a visit to North Carolina State of the ACC in the next two weeks, then will make his decision.
As you most likely are aware, the Hawaii basketball team has a lot of work to do on the recruiting front to replace its considerable offseason player losses. UH lost nine of the 15 players from its Big West championship season. Of the six slated to return, three are walk-ons, and two of the six (Mike Thomas and Sheriff Drammeh) played meaningful minutes in 2015-16.
