One-hundred and eighty minutes of soccer in a 26-hour span is no joke. That was the requirement for Hawaii this weekend, and the Rainbow Wahine answered the challenge emphatically with a 4-0 win over Grand Canyon on Sunday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. Hawaii and today’s opponent, Duquesne of the Football Championship Subdivision, have never encountered each other on a football field, so that makes going through the series history and picking a game to highlight a little challenging. The Hawaii football team is no longer perfect this season, but the Rainbow Warriors’ placekicker still is. Through four games, redshirt junior Ryan Meskell has converted every field goal (4-for-4) and extra-point attempt (20-for-20) he’s taken. In the illustrious history of the Rainbow Wahine volleyball program, something never happened until this week. UPDATE: (Well, almost.)
