Chance Kalaugher, a former two-time All-State basketball player, has joined the UH football team. Kalaugher, a 2016 Kaiser High graduate, is 6 feet 6 and 230 pounds. He is projected to compete at defensive end. He also is a consideration as a jump-ball receiver in goal-line situations. It’s the first day of UH’s spring semester, which means … several Warrior football coaches are attending the American Football Coaches Association’s convention in San Antonio. The event is an opportunity for coaches to attend clinics, learn new techniques and strategies, and network. Thursday is the last day of the recruiting dead period. Beginning Friday, teams are permitted to host on-campus recruiting visits through the last Sunday in January.

UH’s student body is gaining a big body when the spring semester begins tomorrow morning. Eliki Tanuvasa, a former All-State center from Saint Louis School, has completed his transfer from Eastern Illinois and will be joining the Rainbow Warriors.
