More like Cal Poly. I just checked out that Figstats link for the updated rankings and the Gauchos are in a really good position to make the Tourney; based on their current ranking they look more than safe.

Cal Poly on the other hand can’t afford to fall too much. If they happen to fall just a few places into the 40s things could look tight. But that’s if something freaky happens. Remember the committee doesn’t ONLY use the RPI when making selections.

I think if Utah can win tomorrow that would be good for Cal Poly in the RPI.

I really wanna know how Na Wahine will be handled by the committee. I’m hoping St. John’s will win, but that may knock out UCSB from going to the tourney.

http://ncaastats.figstats.net/volleyball-rpi.cgi
Top 16
1 Baylor. 2. Texas. 3. Stanford. 4. Pitt. 5. Wisconsin. 6. Kentucky. 7. Nebraska. 8. Washington. 9. Florida. 10 Minnesota. 11 Hawaii. 12. Marquette. 13. Texas A&M. 14 Penn State. 15. Rice. 16. Western Kentucky.
It will be interesting to see what committee does with Rice & Western Kentucky since Western Kentucky is the AQ after winning the C-USA tournament, as well as the regular-season title. Rice finished second in the tournament and regular season.

Not sure if their winning helps, but them losing will NOT help at all.

But anyhow would love to see the Wahine put the committee in a place to where they can’t help but award a home subregions to them. Staying at a solid 11-13 in the RPI ranking will certainly do that IMO.

UCLA swept SC
I don’t know if Hawaii needed that but it doesn’t hurt. St. John’s winning helps. Hawaii has been holding steady at 11 all week.
As for the Wahine being a bubble team the last few years, it didn’t feel like they were. they just didn’t have the AQ. a little less stressful this year.

Thank goodness the Wahine are not a bubble team again this year. RPI will at least help Hawaii remain in the Top 16 in RPI. But what I think Hawaii really needs to hope for tonight is UCLA to pull off the win at USC.

Also, Wisconsin losing likely drops them to 5 in the RPI.
Will the committee give top 4 seeds to both Baylor and Texas? The others going to Stanford and Pitt?
