I hope the team is pumped up and ready to play this Saturday or else this could be a season turned for the worst. I recall the year that UH was going up to play a struggling UNLV team that everyone was writing off and calling a W for UH and then UH got dominated and embarrassed. For me that was the true sign that Mack was going to be fired.

Cappie-I agree. Don’t know exactly what the transgressions were, none of my business. The message is being sent, apparently some have yet to receive. Suspended players should feel remorse because if nothing else they have embarrassed themselves disappointed distracted their teammates. Immature and selfish period. Many other coaches rationalize and dismiss poor judgement and bad behavior. In the long run this will pay dividends. Right now if you give a crap all focus is on Nevada-

9 suspended players in 2 years is a lot, but just to play devil’s advocate, this relatively high number of malcontents can be seen as a coach who cares more about integrity than winning at all costs.

I checked Aaron Hernandez’s college stats.
Forty games played in three seasons.

You would think he was up to some sort of shenanigans but Urban Meyer just looked the other way.

Anybody that thinks that this weeks game won’t be a challenge is sorely mistaken. Although they stumbled this week against Fresno and have an embarrassing loss to Idaho St. they have played some good teams. Northwestern Washington St and Toledo.. They are young and thin at tons of positions. Nothing but an all out mistake free game will secure this-

This road trip is singular in importance. They need to win this game above all else. Don’t know what the health of the roster is but if those in uniform can’t give an impassioned performance across the board then those verbalizing “win the conference” failed to gauge effort and commitment that requires. I stated previously Nevada will be desperate. We too should be the same-GoWarriors!!!!!

No excuses for what transpired on Saturday night vs CSU. The better team won. One thing to consider is the fact that the Rams have been building what they currently have for a number of years first under Jim McEwan (now at Florida) and now Mike Bobo. They quality of their athletes was evident last Saturday. Look at the financial backing, resources, and fund raising at CSU and you see why they have a new stadium, a new weight room, assistant coaches salary budget of over $2.3 million (compared to UH’s $1 million).

BTW, Dave Aranda’s contract runs through 2019 at $1.6 million a year. I don’t see him coming back to coach at UH for $100K or even $200K. Maybe (or maybe not) someone like Kevin Clune, given Oregon State’s tenuous situation. Former Nebraska DC Mark Banker?
