UH needs better recruits. Go back to more finesse 4 wides. Should make it easier for Brown to move the team and improve deeper routes as they should open up.
Right now, and its obvious, physical teams key on St Juste and UH sputters. Come On! Its not rocket science.

Our Local Boys most come or have family in upper class communities so they go to great schools so when they compare Hawaii to like Fresno it a no brainer they want to play at a sucessful university and one the the athletics is willing to support.

In few years there will be conference realinement again and Hawaii May be left behind our Mountain West Rivals.

Then we will have no choice but to go division 2.
Unless some big time CEO donates at least 60 million into football atleatics things will continue to degrade like
Aloha Stadium

First win over Fresno since 1983 or 34 years.
They also have a huge DL and WR Boyd who gives us fits. Also a good RB.

Money is needed to pay for coaches, facilities, maintenance of facilities and players. If we can’t offer the same things other conference members are offering we won’t be able to recruit at the same or higher level. To compete against other conference schools when they are offering thousands more in COA and newer facilities is not a level recruiting field and nothings going to change no matter who is coaching. And that’s not an opinion. That’s a fact. UH athletics has been a huge part of my life since the seventies but if we are not going to be competitive in keeping up with the cost of college athletics then I certainly can and will finding something more rewarding to do with my time and money. The Chow era made me realize there are many other things more rewarding than being depressed every weekend and I promise when you look you will find things that are absolutely more worth your time. Give the coaches something to offer other than beaches and it will show soon enough. If not this could just be the start of what will be the norm.
