Nevada didn’t play Idaho, it was Idaho STATE an FCS school. They played a true freshman QB who struggled for the first half but calmed down in the second. In the first half they were getting blown out but came back. Still wasn’t a good showing from them.

I love Naole, but it’s his second incident with a 2nd coach about leaving. Remember, he also left for a short period with Chow. As much as I like Chris’ fire and great coaching, he needs to get along with his boss. You may not agree all the time, but you cannot just “go off” and leave. Be a professional and leave after the season, or don’t coach. He has a Head Coaches mentality, which is great if you are the head coach. I hope he can re-consider and cool off. But being the 2nd time this happened already, you gotta think for the whole team. Rolo probably had to give him the “my way or leave” talk, and for the 2nd time, he left. Not Rolo’s fault. He had to do what is best for the whole team, not just 1 guy.

Well, I am not assuming anything.

However, it is definitely not about the money. He has more than enough from all his years in the NFL. Besides, Hawai‘i has one of the smallest budgets for coaches in the MWC let alone D-1.
He was dedicated to the program.
Hopefully a cooling period will re-open the doors. But, I won’t hold my breath.

Oh … I forgot to mention, Nevada’s offense has only gained more than 400 yards in one game this year … 420 versus Idaho and still lost. I’m not saying this is a sure win, but I do think the odds makers aren’t looking closely enough.
