One on overall budget, two, with specific charges for travel, and three, and probably, most importantly, committeemenr from their respective state: see—

Boise State’s $39.4 million athletics budget for fiscal 2018 includes $3.25 million in student fees and $4.88 million in institutional/state support—see here: http://www.idahostatesman.com/sports/college/mountain-west/boise-state-university/article171459337.html#storylin

I get better things for do with my money.” And when UH wins: “Ah…Aloha Stadium is junk.” “Too far for drive there.” “Da beer is too expensive.” “Takes too long for walk to my seat.” “I no like……..” “We like be entertained, but UH is boring.” Spectators, not Fans!

Politicians, UH Administrators, the general public (dey only go Vegas) have no idea as far as how behind UH is behind with regards to improved Athletic Facilities. Bobby Curran and John Veneri talked about how USU’s in Logan, Utah (not exactly a popular destination) has leaped ahead of UH in terms of their athletic facilities (new strength & conditioning building, in-door practice facility, football complex, renovated stadium, etc). Still, this all falls on deaf ears, because it’s so far away.

Some fans view the lack of new facilities as simply an excuse (just throw da ball with da Run-N-Shoot and we’ll win!), but I saw a USU team with players that were bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic. On the other hand, I see the same tire looking facilities in the Lower Campus. Give credit to the coaches and players who do with what they have. More can be done, though.

In the meantime, the State gotta spend more money on the Mental Hospital.

Our fan base is out there somewhere (20000 plus went to the Sugar Bowl) so we need to figure it out from there. UH football needs to prove to the powers that be (Legislature, tax payers, the big Donors and the bandwagon joe fan) that Warrior football is worth investing in. Wahine Volleyball did it (build a consistent winning program) so it can be done here. It seems impossible right now but I remember the days when we scoffed to see Boise on our schedule. It wont happen overnight and it will take max effort, acute outside of the box vision, a more watchable product and the investors trust but… Boise did it. Boise Idaho. We need to figure this (bleep) out.

We never saw the adjustments unless he implemented them at Kapolei high.

I have faith that Rolo, who was the QB in JJ’s offense, played in NFL Europe, and studied the Pistol at Nevada would have some hybrid passing attack in mind. No, I don’t understand throwing for 3 yards when you need 12 hoping for YAC.

Rolo’s experience with the running game might be a bit too recent. DSJ against the defensive box didn’t work so well after the first few games. Maybe knowledge of flexbone, wishbone, Veer, I-formation, and even the Hula-T might have helped DSJ and the bench once in a while. Ifa, coulda, shoulda…

I agree with Al in #16… and as Coach Tomey said, “Never blame the players–blame the coach”.

You don’t need to run a pass heavy scheme on every play to open up the offense. You can go with what the flow of the game dictates. But the fear of implementing too much of a passing attack is ridiculous. That is what Hawaii needs. We will never be able to match the size and quickness of our opponents. It was the scheme that helped Hawaii be successful during the JJ years. And lets not forget that UH was still successful during the McMackin years too with the same offense.

Dru had his second year and showed tremendous regression. Don’t be fooled by his completion percentage. Look at the route tree that he completes passes. Dink, dunk, slant.

A revolving door of coordinators does not produce results. If Rolo has faith in his staff that they can turn it around with another year of consistency, then he will have to hang his hat on next year’s results.
