Think overseas we have a better shot. Watching Big 10 network or Pac 12 network they got some talent.

Look how van Winden got fake support. Relying on basic attack would not do against top four who may have improved .too.

Extremely difficult to get those to come here. P5 schools have so much to offer from better facilities to high COA to highest level of play to having a better chance to compete for a national title.

Dave Shoji have indicated that harship of landing blue chippers in the past. Now it’s even harder due to what other schools can offer.

Gotta be a Kanani type to succeed at that height. Not all 6-6″ are lumbering.

If the girl is 6-6 but lack coordination or footwork, then she is nothing more than a statue. Very rarely do hitters hit over the blocks. They either find holes/angles and hit that way or they tool the block.

BTW…our men’s team have a 6-9 lefty and he is not even the team’s best hitter.

I rather Robyn find smart, fast, quick, athletic players with average size(6-0 to 6-2j than to find a lumbering 6-6 girl. Those kind can do more things to help the team win. Those kind can chase down errand balls, go low and dig spikes and just move around the court and do more.

Baylor has a 6-6 Red-shirt Frosh OPP from The Netherlands, Marieke van der Mark, a lefty. So where’s our 6-6 OPP from Europe? Maybe next season?

And not once, but twice. Also watched the Penn St – Purdue match and thought the Boilermakers would pull an upset. Nope, they found ways to give the match away. Purdue’s Sherridan Atkinson looked like an All-American.
